PARADOX Frontman Undergoes Open-Heart Surgery
December 27, 2012Charly Steinhauer, guitarist/vocalist of long-running German metallers PARADOX, was scheduled to undergo open-heart surgery on December 24. His bandmates state: "The heart surgery of Charly has been moved to today.... so right now he just is over it. We wish him all the best and we will let you know as soon as we hear from him if everything went fine... please keep your fingers crossed for him!"
In an online posting last week, Steinhauer stated about his heart procedure: "I will survive and carry on making some good music for you. PARADOX will never die! I don't know if I will be able to go on stage again... Right now, I don't think so."
The official lyric video for the song "Brutalized" from PARADOX can be seen below. The track comes off the band's new album, "Tales Of The Weird", which was released on December 14 via AFM Records. The CD was produced by Steinhauer and was mixed and mastered by Victor Bullok (a.k.a. V. Santura; TRIPTYKON, DARK FORTRESS) at Woodshed Studio in Landshut, Germany. The cover art was created by Claudio Bergamin.
